We were unable to find a natural version of this kitchen staple on the UK market, all of them being made with harmful hydrogenated oils that have dangerous trans fats and containing monosodium glutamate that messes with your brain chemistry. So we decided to make our own 100% natural version with cold pressed British rapeseed oil! We heat it to low temperatures when infusing with traditional Chinese herbs and spices (to preserve the health benefits of both oil and spices) and add absolutely nothing else! This is a staple of every Chinese kitchen and used in many authentic Chinese recipes.
Some ideas: Mixed with tahini through rice noodles, with soy sauce/honey to dip gyozas, drizzled over a stir fry or steamed rice for a flavour explosion in your mouth.
